GREEN, VALLEY BANNER, after cementing off cavings, is again making hole below 4,336 feet, in a shale believed to overlie the HOME sand. ELBOW OILS, drilling against a heavy flow of gas below 5,260 feet, expects the Brown Sand at any time. Prospects for oil production at both these wells appear very good.
In the Taber field, PLAINS PETE No 3 expected the Clancy oil producing sand this weekend. Casing will be run and set before drilling is carried into the sand. PLAINS No.2 production is being taken by Imperial Oil. The well appears capable of about 100 to 200 barrels daily, according to field reports.
HUNTER VALLEY will drill out the cement on Sunday and go on test about Tuesday. PACALTA, on the Battleview anticlines, is scheduled to spud about next Wednesday. MODEL MOOSE DOME is expected to spud in on Monday.
